The IES and the Municipal Quarry of Valkenburg

The IES is currently discussing the research possibilities for the old parts of the Municipal Quarry of Valkenburg. City council has expressed its wishes to come to both an academic and a public-friendly publication about the quarry's rich history and monumental status. The information obtained from this research project by the IES will be used in the near future in order to offer visitors a more accurate cultural and mining historical impression of Valkenburg's subsoil.
